Internet Based Applications

Before the age of computers, computer applications are developed and used on individual local computers. Programmers develop their applications and sold them in Compact Disks (CD) to the end users. So the programs are installed on the local computers are used to do the required jobs. Applications on local computers are only available for limited number of people. It also tend to be expensive if every individual has to install applications on his or her own computer.

During this age of computers and world wide web (the internet), computer applications can now be installed on centra servers and used in several locations of the World. This is good for resource sharing and reduces costs significantly.
